Classification of graphite electrode: ordinary power graphite electrode (RP); high power graphite electrode (HP); quasi ultra-high power graphite electrode (SHP); ultra-high power graphite electrode (UHP).
(1) For electric arc steelmaking furnace ( Electric Arc Furnace )
Graphite electrode material can be mainly used in electric furnace steelmaking. Electric furnace steelmaking uses the research graphite electrode to introduce working current into the furnace. The strong current at the lower end of the electrode can affect the arc discharge through these gas environments, and smelting is carried out by using the heat generated by the arc. The capacitance is equipped with graphite electrodes with different diameters and can be used continuously against the connection between electrode joints and electrodes. Graphite as electrode material for steelmaking accounts for about 70 ~ 80% of the total amount of graphite electrode in China.
(2) For submerged arc furnace
It is mainly used for the production of iron furnace, ferroalloy, pure silicon, yellow phosphorus, calcium carbide and matte. It is characterized in that the lower part of the conductive electrode is buried in the charge. Therefore, in addition to the heat generated by the arc between the electric plate and the charge, the heat is also generated by the resistance of the charge when the current passes through the charge.
(3) For resistance furnace
In the production process, the graphitization furnace for graphite material products, the melting furnace and production of melting technology glass and the electric furnace for silicon carbide are resistance furnaces. The material management in the furnace is not only a heating resistance, but also a heated object.
(4) A large number of graphite electrode blanks are also used to process into special-shaped products such as crucibles, graphite boat dishes, hot pressing molds and heating bodies of vacuum electric furnaces.
