Product Overview
Xingshi calcined petroleum coke (CPC) with 98.5% fixed carbon ensures high conductivity and low impurity for aluminum smelting anodes, reducing production cost!
Low Sulfur CPC (98.5%)- 
Production process
Raw material selection: Low sulfur petroleum coke (sulfur content<1.5%) is preferred, as excessive sulfur content can affect the quality of downstream products (such as the purity of electrolytic aluminum).
Calcination process:
In a vertical calcination furnace or rotary kiln, petroleum coke is heated to 1200-1500 ℃ under isolated air conditions.
Key reactions:
The volatile components (H2, CH4etc.) further precipitate, and the content decreases from 8% -15% of the coke to below 1%.
The carbon structure is rearranged to form tighter graphitized microcrystals, improving electrical and thermal conductivity.
Cooling and crushing: The calcined coke is cooled by water or air cooling and crushed to the desired particle size (such as 0-10mm, 10-20mm).
Calcined Petroleum coke is a carbon material formed by high-temperature calcination (1200-1500 ℃) of petroleum coke (a byproduct of oil refining) to remove volatile matter and moisture. Its essence is to convert low purity raw coke into structurally stable and performance optimized calcined coke through physical and chemical reactions, which is widely used in high-end fields such as electrolytic aluminum, graphite electrodes, and lithium batteries.
