Deoxygenation and desulfurization
The refined slag of calcium aluminate contains a large amount of active calcium oxide (CaO), which can quickly react with oxygen (O) and sulfur (S) in the molten steel, significantly reducing the oxygen and sulfur content in the steel. For example, in the case of an original sulfur content of 0.027%, the desulfurization rate can reach over 80%, and the endpoint sulfur can be reduced to below 0.005%.
Its main component is 12CaO · 7Al2O3, which can quickly form low melting point products and efficiently remove impurities.
Purification of molten steel
